Project Manager


Landwise Advisors is seeking a project manager.

Landwise is an advisory firm helping owners and institutions maximize the quality, utility, and value of their land assets through expertise in planning, economics, and asset positioning. Landwise is a Boston area firm founded in 2015, providing consulting and development advisory services to institutions, land owners, developers, public sector and non-profits, as well as small businesses and families. Landwise takes a “hands-on” approach by managing key stages of the preconstruction process including site due diligence, master-planning, development strategy, feasibility, and entitlements. Landwise is responsible for the management of the full consulting team including environmental, site + civil engineering, urban design, and legal.


Key project manager responsibilities include:

  • Assemble and mobilize consulting teams;

  • Lead due diligence effort and master planning efforts;

  • Direct development strategy for client land assets;

  • Develop strategies to address key development challenges;

  • Lead effort to work with public agencies on entitlements;

  • Develop consensus around preferred master plan and development strategy;

  • Develop critical project timelines and budgets;

  • Communicate with client around key issues.


Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in economics, engineering, business, real estate, urban studies, planning, architecture, or other disciplines with an emphasis on planning/real estate development;

  • Strong academic record;

  • Strong track record in project management;

  • Ability to develop, manage, and meet a budget;

  • High levels of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Profile of a self-starter, good time manager and “team player”;

  • Ability to persevere under challenging conditions;

  • Experience with financial modeling is desirable, but not required.

  • Engineering knowledge is desirable, but not required.

Planner/Economic Analyst


Landwise Advisors is seeking a planner/economic analyst.

Landwise is an advisory firm helping owners and institutions maximize the quality, utility, and value of their land assets through expertise in planning and land use economics. Landwise is a boutique Boston area firm founded in 2015, providing consulting services to institutions, land owners and developers, public sector and non-profits, as well as small businesses and families. Landwise utilizes data driven analysis in the service of sound strategic advice, delivered in a clear and graphically rich format. We are growing and looking for exceptional talent to lead us into the future.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct primary and secondary economic, demographic, and real estate research;

  • Create high quality graphics, GIS maps, and reports to communicate findings and recommendations;

  • Develop statistical demand models to assist in program development;

  • Manage financial modeling efforts in support of feasibility analysis;

  • Conduct case study research on best practice developments;

  • Participate in client meetings and presentations;

  • Support business development and project pursuits


Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in economics, business, real estate, urban studies or planning, architecture, or other liberal arts disciplines with an emphasis on quantitative and qualitative analysis;

  • Several years of work experience in the real estate, planning, architecture or civil engineering fields.

  • Strong academic record;

  • Passion for data analysis, ability to structure quantitative and qualitative problem-solving approaches, and attention to detail and accuracy;

  • High levels of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and in conducting internet research;

  • High level of graphic capability with experience working with the Adobe Suite products, in particular Adobe Illustrator;

  • High level of proficiency in GIS is required;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Profile of a self-starter, good time manager and “team player”;

  • Experience with financial modeling is desirable, but not required.
