D. Scott Ross, AICP

Development Advisor

With extensive experience in real estate development, Scott brings an invaluable perspective to a broad range of planning and land development challenges. For 20 years, Scott served as president of Towermarc, a full-service development company with regional offices in Boston, Memphis, and Tampa. At Towermarc Scott led the development of a variety of mixed-use and large scale land development projects across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast markets. Scott holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from NCSU's School of Design, a Master of Regional Planning from UNC- Chapel Hill, and a M.S. in Real Estate Development from MIT.

Scott has also held posts at Beacon Companies where he worked on many development projects including Rowe’s Wharf on the Boston waterfront, as well as Sasaki Associates where he played an integral role on major real estate projects, including work at the Sea Pines Plantation on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and the 2,600-acre Legacy development for EDS in Plano, Texas.

At Landwise Advisors, Scott brings a ‘developer’s perspective’ to client projects, helping property owners to navigate all phases of pre-construction development including site analysis and due diligence, program development, conceptual design, feasibility, and entitlements. Scott’s experience helps our clients to manage risk while maximizing the value of their land assets.
